Our history: curling in Largs, North Ayrshire since 1813
Largs Thistle Curling Club was instituted in 1813, in the days when the roaring game was played outdoors on frozen lochs and flooded meadows around North Ayrshire. Generations of members have carried the club's colours since, through outdoor bonspiels, the great Grand Match years, and into the era of indoor ice.
Today the club fields rinks across three internal leagues and two historic cup competitions, and competes in the Clyde Coast League against neighbouring clubs. Whatever your standard, there is a playing opportunity for you.
New curlers are always welcome. Come along for a taster session, meet the members, and find out why so few people who try curling ever stop.
